TY LYNCH BIOGRAPHY

James “Ty” Lynch was born on December 24, 1969 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  He graduated from Coral Springs High School and attended Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida to play baseball.  After two years at Valencia, he transferred to the University of Central Florida to continue his baseball career and education.  He was named the team captain in 1992, and he ultimately obtained his degree in Finance in 1993, graduating summa cum laude.

Ty worked at Barnett Bank utilizing his Finance degree from 1993 to 1997.  He decided to go to law school in 1997 and attended DePaul University School of Law from 1997 to 2000.  After graduating law school, he began his legal career at the civil defense firm of Wicker Smith where he gained valuable experience in litigating cases.  He handled cases from inception up to and through the trial process.  He gained valuable knowledge of how insurance companies defend cases and has been able to use this knowledge to his clients’ advantage while working as a Plaintiff’s lawyer.

Ty worked at Wicker Smith from May of 2000 through November of 2004 when he made the decision to switch to do Plaintiff’s work and began employment at Morgan & Morgan, P.A.  Ty started working at Morgan & Morgan and did so until March of 2018.  During his tenure at Morgan, he tried more than 50 cases in front of a jury.  Ty has tried case in all areas of personal injury, including automobile negligence cases, premises liability cases and an insurance coverage dispute case.  In one slip and fall case, he obtained a verdict of $692,000 for his client.  He also obtained numerous favorable verdicts for his clients.

Ty has handled all different types of cases throughout his career from initial sign up all the way through the litigation process, including appeals.  In one case, Ty tried the case to verdict, the verdict was appealed, and he had to try the case to verdict again.  The legal process was long, but the tenacity lead to a favorable result for his client.

Ty has been married for over twenty years and has three children.  He still keeps in touch with his passion for sports as he coaches a Little League baseball team.

In April of 2018, he began the Armour Law Group with attorney Gregory S. Berry.  These two lawyers have a goal of providing quality service to their clients with communication and aggressive legal strategies.
